Small Shed Pottery creates hand crafted stoneware for the home, inspired by the Cornish Coast using locally sourced clay… and in the process continue an age-old tradition of wheel thrown pottery.
Our ever expanding ‘Shoreline’ range of stoneware pottery is available to buy from the Small Shed Pottery Etsy page. Each piece has its own story to tell about craft and place, fired to high temperatures, our stoneware range is both timeless and functional, using locally sourced clay from nearby St Agnes.
ABOUT TAZ WILKINSON-SMITH – I am passionate about pottery and about how rewarding this ancient art form can be. It’s easy to be spell-bound by the rhythmic kick of the wheel, to delight in clay turning silk-like between your hands, and to be mesmerized by the gradual change in shape and form on the wheel.
POTTERY WORKSHOPS – Join me for one of our fabulous Small Shed Pottery Workshops. Suitable for beginners, you will be learning wheel throwing skillls, and make a piece which I will then fire for you at a later date. Accommodation is also available in our lovely ‘Kiln Cabin’… see below for details (subject to availability).
PRIVATE COMMISSIONS – Small Shed Pottery undertakes small private commissions, and will be happy to discuss any ideas you may have… be it a one off piece, or multiple items for you to stock and sell.
ACCOMMODATION AT KILN CABIN – Why not stay during your pottery workshop, or even just for a short break, in our lovely ‘Kiln Cabin’. Set back in our quiet Mediterranean courtyard, this self-contained space was originally created as a potters studio.
